SDM has rich experience in design and project general contracting in the field of steelmaking project, and has mastered the most advanced technology in the field of steelmaking, and can provide customers with comprehensive and high-quality technical services in converter, electric furnace, hot metal pretreatment, off-furnace refining, slag treatment, scrap processing and other aspects.

Main service scope:

Converter: converter with nominal capacity 35t~300t and its supporting facilities;

Electric furnace: electric furnace with nominal capacity 35t~150t and its supporting facilities;

Hot metal pretreatment: injection desulfurization technology and mechanical stirring desulfurization technology applicable to 35t~300t hot metal ladle

Off-furnace refining: CAS, LF, VD, RH and other refining equipment and supporting facilities

Slag treatment: primary treatment & secondary treatment of steel slag, and deep processing of tailings, etc.

Scrap processing: scrap shearing, scrap packaging, scrap cutting, etc.

Green intelligent steelmaking system integration technology: relying on SDM's rich practical experiences in the steelmaking field, adopting the most advanced technology and the most reasonable process flow, to provide customers with world-class green steel plants and intelligent steel plants. 

High-efficiency and low-cost clean steel platform integration technology: to create an efficient and low-cost clean steel production platform for customers through the whole process of fine design.

Dynamic control technology of converter smelting: to adopt the most advanced technical means to realize dynamic control of converter smelting and "one-key" intelligent steelmaking, improve the automation control level of converter, reduce raw material consumption and shorten the smelting cycle. 

Converter deep dephosphorization smelting technology: to adopt dual-connected converter or single-furnace double-slag technology to smelt low phosphorus and ultra-low phosphorus steel, realize less slag smelting and reduce production costs.

Longevity technology of converter lining: to adopt comprehensive bricklaying, slag splashing, lining monitoring, bottom blowing thermal replacement and other technical means to achieve longevity of converter lining.

Converter dry dedusting technology: In 2004, SDM was the first to absorb and transform the converter flue gas full dry dedusting technology to achieve nationwide production and application in the 3x120t converter system in Laiwu Steel Plant. SDM has a leading design concept in dry dedusting, which can meet the world's highest converter flue gas emission standard of 10mg/m3, and achieve efficient dedusting of converter flue gas.

Hot charging technology of electric furnace hot metal: to adopt advanced hot metal hot charging and smelting control technology to reduce electric furnace energy consumption, shorten smelting cycle and improve liquid steel quality.

Electric furnace flue gas waste heat utilization technology: the fourth hole flue gas waste heat recovery technology is adopted to realize the efficient utilization of electric furnace waste heat.

Dry (mechanical pump) vacuum system technology: In VD and RH refining furnaces, dry (mechanical pump) vacuum system is used to replace the traditional steam pump vacuum system, reducing production costs and improving vacuum pumping effect.

A new generation of "iron and steel interface" technology: to replace the traditional railway transportation with automobile or flat car transportation, and meanwhile, to realize "one ladle to the end", optimize the general layout and reduce production costs.

 


Continuous Casting Project

The Steel-making Department of SDM has completed more than 20 equipment and plant designs for various types of continuous casting machines, such as square billets, rectangular billets, round billets, shaped billets, slabs, and etc. It has mastered various types of continuous casting machines and the most advanced continuous casting technology at home and abroad, and can independently undertake the engineering consulting, engineering design, project general contracting, equipment modification business, and etc. of the continuous casting projects, and can work with Steel Rolling Department of SDM to provide comprehensive solutions for customers.
