On September 24^th, Shandong Province Engineering Consulting Association (hereinafter referred to as SECA) held the "Fourth Member (Representative) Conference of SECA and the First Meeting of the Fourth Council" in Jinan. After the open election at the meeting, Wei Xinmin, chairman of SDM, was elected vice president of SECA, and made an important speech on the current situation and future development trend of domestic and foreign engineering consulting industry.

      SECA was formally established in December 1993 with the approval and registration of the provincial civil affairs department. Its members are all over Shandong Province, mainly composed of engineering consulting units, registered consulting engineers and experts and scholars with consulting and management experience in the field of engineering technology economy. The competent department of the association is Shandong Province Development and Reform Commission, which accepts the supervision and management from the Home Department of Shandong Province and the professional guidance from CNAEC. SECA is the industry association representing the engineering consulting industry in Shandong Province, and plays an important role in the continuous reform & opening up and economic & social development of Shandong Province.
