THE 2050MM HOT CONTINUOUS ROLLING PROJECT OF SD STEEL RIZHAO CO., LTD DESIGNED BY SDM HAS WON THE NATIONAL QUALITY ENGINEERING GOLD AWARD IN 2020-2021

The 2050mm hot continuous rolling project of SD STEEL RIZHAO CO.,LTD, designed by SDM, recently has won the National Quality Engineering Gold Award in 2020-2021.

The steel rolling project of SD STEEL RIZHAO CO.,LTD, consists of hot continuous rolling project, cold rolling project, steckel mill and heavy plate mill.

In March 2016, the 2050mm hot continuous rolling project started construction, and began the thermal load test run in September 2017. Based on the hot continuous rolling projects built at home and abroad in recent years and giving full play to the late development advantages, the project has been made to ensure the engineering design quality followed by the general thought of products orientation, process requirements and engineering design. The project is designed to produce 5 million tons of hot rolled steel coils per year.

In terms of the design, SDM has developed a number of innovative studies and successfully applied them. A number of design achievements have won the first prize of Shandong Engineering Exploration Design Achievement Competition in 2019, the first prize of Shandong Metallurgical Science And Technology Progress Award and other exploration and design awards. THE HOT CONTINOUS ROLLING OVERHEAD PROJECT RESEARCH AND APPLICATION has been identified by experts as the first set at home and abroad, reaching the international advanced level.

Since the 2050mm hot continous rolling project was put into operation, the qualified rate of the products has reached 99%, and the yield rate has reached 98.13%. The products cover more than 180 grades of low carbon steel, low alloy steel, automotive steel, high strength steel, etc. It can stably produce 1.2mm*1250mm Q235 products, 1.4mm×1180mm SPA-H container plate, and mass production of 21.4mm*1800 mm X80 pipeline steel. The raw material coil products after the cold rolling process have been supplied to foreign automobile manufacturers.

Comprehensive energy consumption per ton of steel reaches 68.56kgce/t, roller consumption 0.39kg/t, electricity consumption 89kW·h/t, gas consumption 1.28GJ/t, fresh water consumption 0.36m3/t, nitrogen oxide emission concentration less than 30mg/Nm3, sulfur dioxide emission concentration less than 30mg/Nm3, and emission concentration of particulate matter less than 10mg/Nm3.
