At 15:36 on December 17, 2022, with bursts of fireworks blooming in the sky, pieces of fiery coke were launched from 66# carbonization chamber of 1# coke oven battery, which means, 1# coke oven EPC project by our company for Yunnan Coal Energy Source Co., Ltd. was successfully completed and put into operation, which also marked full completion and operation of coal preparation & coke oven project on EPC basis for SDM.

2 MTPA coking plant environmental protection relocation and upgrading project of Yunnan Coal Energy Co., Ltd., is the first 7.6m top charging coke oven project for this company in China, which is the first coking project for this company in China Baowu Steel Group, which is also the first coking project for this company in southwest market of China. With the owner’s target of "domestic first-class, international advanced, global leading, green and smart", this high-quality coking project is doomed to have the features of extraordinary significance and high starting point. At the beginning of the project, it is designed according to the first-class coking plant, including 16 nos. of storage and proportioning integrated silos, 200m high coke oven chimney, environmental dust removal ground station at pusher side and at coke side, 2x67 chamber 7.6m top-charge coke oven, which is jointly developed by Shandong Province Metallurgical Engineering Co., Ltd. and PW Company in Italy, adopting a series of advanced technologies, such as flame analysis, armor analysis, coke oven body VAP assembly, SOPRECO pressure regulation, riser waste heat utilization, etc, which provides strong technical support for the realization of large-scale, green, intelligent and low-carbon coke oven. This coke oven has the technical characteristics of the largest single chamber volume, low environmental emission index, low coking energy consumption, tight structure and long life, which could represents the world's most advanced super-large scale top-charging coke oven.

Since February 21, 2022, the refractory construction of 1# coke oven has been started, overcoming the shortage of refractory supply and the difficulty of transportation during the epidemic, adopting alternate circular masonry, three-dimensional layered & cross masonry for checker brick, complete masonry is finished on June 20; adopting armor installation 24 hours operation, developed working face after centering, by virtue of these speeding-up measure, heating up was started on August 7; In full consideration of the existing epidemic control policies, actively mobilize the surrounding construction source, on the premise of ensuring smooth completion and operation of 2# coke oven, the construction of 1# coke oven, the supply organization of equipment and materials, and the allocation of construction team have not been relaxed at all times, coal loading in silo on September 16, the completion and operation of 2# coke oven on October 27, nowadays 1# coke oven has successfully realize coking, all the above finally marks a complete end for the whole project construction, which is also the most satisfactory ending of Yunnan Coal Energy Co., Ltd. in 2022.
