At the beginning of the New Year, the spring is getting closer and closer. At 10:16 a.m. on February 1^st, 2023, the commencement ceremony of the EPC General Contracting Project for the new reheating furnace of the medium line of the Section Steel Plant of the Laiwu Branch of Shandong Iron & Steel Group, which was contracted by SDM, was held as scheduled in the new reheating furnace workshop of the medium line.

Mr. Wei Guangbing, the secretary of the Party Committee of the Section Steel Plant, presided over the commencement ceremony. Mr. Liu Qingzhen, the manager of the Section Steel Plant, delivered a speech on the commencement of the project. Mr. Lin Jisheng, the deputy general manager and deputy secretary of the Party Committee of SDM, made a statement. Mr. Yu Wenbo, the deputy general manager of the Laiwu Branch and the executive deputy general commander of the new and old kinetic energy conversion project, announced the commencement of the project. Mr. Sun Jianshe, Secretary of the Party Committee, general superintendent and deputy general commander of the engineering headquarters of the new and old kinetic energy conversion project, and the person in charge of the operation management department, the Section Steel Plant, Northern Engineering & Technology Corporation, MCC (Dalian) Engineering Technology Co., Ltd., the project executive and other relevant units attended the commencement ceremony.

This project is the first walking beam type double regenerative reheating furnace EPC project contracted by SDM. The reheating furnace adopts a number of industry-leading technologies in terms of energy conservation, safety, environmental protection, etc., including double regenerative and low nitrogen combustion technology, reasonable subsection control technology, stable and energy-saving walking technology, energy-saving hydraulic technology, convenient automatic slag granulating technology, evaporative cooling technology, advanced L1 and L2 intelligent combustion control technology, etc. Practical, reliable and advanced electronic control instrument and control devices are equipped, and also direct temperature measurement technology for steel billets in the furnace, laser combustion analyzer directly measuring the content of CO and oxygen in the furnace, calorific value meter, etc., provide flow control valves in zones, and adopted reheating furnace sequence control and intelligent combustion control system to ensure that the designed reheating furnace meets the process requirements of high yield, high quality, low consumption, energy saving, pollution-free and intelligent production and operation. Taking this regenerative reheating furnace as a new starting point, build a benchmark project, and open up a new world for the regenerative reheating furnace project.
