On March 25th, the 1# coke oven masonry project of the 1.56MTPA stamp-charging coking transformation and upgrading project of Shanxi Minguang New Energy Technology Co., Ltd. has been commenced. This is also another important milestone for the Shanxi Minguang coking project, following the construction of the 2 # coke oven masonry project on January 30th of this year. Both coke ovens have entered the masonry stage, marking a new construction phase for coke oven construction.

The 1.56MTPA stamping coking transformation and upgrading project of Shanxi Minguang is jointly invested and constructed by Fujian Sangang and Jinnan Steel, and is a provincial-level key project in Shanxi Province. Two sets of 6.73m large stamping coke oven of 2x59 oven were jointly developed and designed by SDM and PW (Italy), having high single-oven production and low energy consumption, reaching the forefront of the world's coking industry technology level, play an important demonstration and leading role in the transformation of traditional coking enterprises in China to emerging industries.

Since the comprehensive construction of the coke oven project began on October 7, 2022, the general contracting project department has worked together with various construction units to reverse the construction period and carry out construction as scheduled, ensuring dual control of safety and quality, overcoming the adverse effects of the epidemic and winter construction, and ensuring the timely delivery and masonry of the two coke ovens. The total consumption of refractories used in two sets of 6.73m coke oven is over 57000 tons, with more than 900 brick types. The amount of refractories used is large, and there are many types of brick, the construction period is tight, and the interval between the two coke ovens is short, thus the requirements for refractory production, supply, and management are very high. The company leaders attach great importance to the organization of the Minguang project, especially in the field of masonry, the bidding process for refractories is immediately initiated after winning the bid, propose requirements, set goals, and pursued implementation from the selection of winning party, contract signing, production organization, quality control, supply arrangement, and other aspects, providing a solid guarantee for the supply of refractories as planned. In order to ensure that the production progress and quality of refractories are under control throughout the entire process, the project management division organizes experienced supervision engineers to conduct regular inspections at various refractories manufacturers in the face of tight supervision personnel and conduct on-site supervision on key enterprises such as Lunai, Luqiao, and Luonai, ensuring the smooth production progress and supply of refractories as planned. Since the delivery began in December 2022, the average monthly inflow of refractories has remained above 10000 tons, ensuring the smooth construction of coke ovens. The general contracting project department not only strictly controls the construction quality and nodes of the main body of the coke oven, but also strengthens management from the aspects of refractories arrival, storage, on-site inspection, and stock in & stock out management. The masonry management personnel, together with the owner and supervisor, strictly control the masonry quality, monitor the geometric dimensions such as mortar joints, wall width, hole width, elevation, mortar plumpness, and wall flatness according to specifications and design requirements, and ensure the smooth and orderly progress of masonry with high quality, Strive to create high-quality engineering with high standards and strict requirements.

In addition to the construction of the two coke ovens as planned, the supporting projects for the coke ovens, coal preparation, and gas purification projects within the general contracting scope are also progressing as planned.  Total 57000 cubic meters of concrete pouring have been completed, more than 2200 tons of steel structure construction have been completed, and more than 2600 tons of equipment have been installed on site. The main progress in each region is as follows:

The coke oven matched end platform and inter-platform have all been capped, and the construction of the basement has also come to an end. It has the conditions to gradually deliver the SCP machine, heating gas system, and installation of end platform & inter-platform equipment. The 150m chimney of the coke oven has been constructed to 120 meters, and the foundations of the integrated pipe gallery, waste heat pump house, and feeding gallery have been completed. The coke treatment project has completed 3700m³ of concrete pouring, accounting for 40% of the total construction quantities.

The construction of the coal tower in the coal preparation area reaches an elevation of 30 meters, completing 60% of the civil construction. More than half of the hyperbola hopper construction of the coal blending tank has been completed, and the sliding formwork construction of the upper silo has been ready. The foundation of the deep foundation pit floor of the truck unloading shed has been completed, and the construction of the basement is currently underway, with an overall progress of 30%. After the handover of the C-type stock yard in early March, the construction of the civil foundation is also accelerating. More than 10000m³ of foundation pouring have been completed, and the construction of the upper structure of the stock compartment retaining wall has been carried out in sections.

The civil structures of the blower station, ammonia distillation framework, and deamination plant in the gas purification area have been roofed, the circulating water pump house and collection tank have been poured, the tank bodies in the oil depot area and tar ammonia water separation area have gradually been capped, the installation of the primary cooler equipment has been completed, and the installation of major equipment such as desulfurization, final cooling, benzene washing, and electric tar precipitator, as well as the construction of buried pipelines, are currently underway.

While actively organizing project progress, the general contracting project department also does not forget to compare goals and identify gaps. It is also clear that there are still considerable difficulties and challenges to achieve the production on September 25th, and the subsequent construction still has a long way to go. The general contracting project department will keep in mind the company's requirements, adhere to the company's corporate creed of "sincere design for the future, high-quality construction for eternity", and carry forward the enterprise tradition of "being able to endure hardship, fight, and contribute".
