From April 15th to 17th, the 2026 Technology Exchange Meeting on Lean Management and Safe Production in the Steel Industry was held in Tai’an, and SDM was invited to attend. The meeting was jointly hosted by the Shandong Metals Society and 12 metal societies from Shanxi Province, Zhejiang Province, Tianjin City, etc. More than 100 representatives from upstream and downstream enterprises in the metallurgical industry, research institutes, and colleges and universities, including Shiheng Special Steel, Shandong Steel Group, Ningbo Steel, Hebei Tianzhu Steel, etc., attended the meeting. The meeting conducted in-depth discussions and exchanges on topics such as the implementation of lean management in the steel industry, production process optimization, cost reduction and efficiency improvement, on-site fine management and control, safety production risk prevention and control, intrinsic safety improvement, cost reduction and maintenance transformation of technical equipment, resource recycling and utilization, and circular economy.

The Chief Engineer of the Chemical Engineering Business Department of SDM attended the meeting and made a special report on “Research and Application of Intrinsically Safe Gas Purification Technology” based on relevant practices and summaries in gas purification projects in recent years. The presentation shared the company’s practical experience in clean, efficient, and intelligent gas purification technology, large-scale intelligent coke ovens, ultra-low emissions, and other fields, demonstrating the wisdom and strength of SDM in promoting the innovation and upgrading of green, efficient, safe, and intelligent new technologies in coking.

Leveraging the communication platform established by the conference, cross-regional and cross-enterprise exchanges were deepened, and sharing and mutual learning were achieved. SDM will continue to promote innovation and upgrades in the coking industry and stand at the forefront of the industry’s sustainable development.
